How to clean the interior of your car
Cleaning the interior of a car may take some time and effort, but it's worth it because traveling is much more enjoyable in a clean car. With our tips, you can clean your car from the inside effortlessly and quickly.
Dirt and dust accumulate in the interior of the car in the same way as in the apartment, and therefore regular cleaning of the car is also recommended from the inside. The differences to normal house cleaning lie in the special surface materials as well as in the fact that there are more hard-to-reach places in the car. Washing the windshield, dusting, removing dirt and vacuuming are the most important steps in cleaning the car.
Start cleaning your car by vacuuming
Large amounts of dirt, sand and loose stones inevitably get into the interior of the car, which should be vacuumed off regularly. Vacuuming on the floors also improves the quality of the air in the car.
Not many people vacuum their car every week, even if they wipe down other surfaces in the interior. When the time has come for vacuuming, you should start cleaning the car with it. Vacuuming always stirs up dust, which is why it is better to wipe the window panes and other surfaces in the car clean after vacuuming.
A vacuum cleaner can certainly be found in almost all households. Various types of vacuum cleaners are suitable for cleaning the interior of cars. Some drivers have their own garage vacuum cleaner, which is ideally suited for such coarser tasks.
Efficient vacuuming in the car with special nozzles
With a wide brush head, the floor mats and floor surfaces can be vacuumed. To clean narrow areas, you can use a narrow nozzle. Although you can do without special nozzles, they make your work easier and give you access to difficult areas.
In this phase, you often notice stubborn stains on the car seats that cannot be removed by simply vacuuming. That's where KORREK Originals Textile Cleaner* comes in. This product eliminates odors and is sprayed directly from the ready-to-use bottle on the soiled areas, after which the stains can be gently rubbed off, e.g. with a microfiber cloth. Loose dirt residues can then be conveniently vacuumed off.
Cleaning the inside of the car windows ensures a clear view when driving
In itself, cleaning the windows in the car is no different from cleaning windows in your own home. However, you can forget about rubbing the discs with newspaper, this is an outdated method. Compared to high-quality lint-free microfibre cloths, newspaper is a rather poor household remedy for cleaning the windows.
A microfibre cloth intended for wiping car windows has an almost flat or waffle-like textured surface. With frequent use, the purchase of such a cloth pays off, because a high-quality microfiber cloth can be washed many times in the washing machine.
KORREK Glass Cleaner* prevents fogging of the windows
KORREK Originals Glass Cleaner* is a ready-to-use, easy-to-use product that prevents panes from fogging up and is sold in a highly practical spray bottle. The spray width of the nozzle can be adjusted. To clean the car windows, you can simply spray the cleaner on the cloth. Or directly on the glass.
Cleaning car windows from the inside
First, carefully spread the windshield cleaner with the damp side of the cloth over the entire pane. Then wipe one area after the other several times until a thin film remains on its surface. Then turn the microfibre cloth over and use its clean, dry side to thoroughly wipe off the cleaner left on the windscreen. The result is a flawlessly clear glass pane.
The windshield cleaner can also be used to effectively clean the mirrors
Glass Cleaner is suitable not only for the panes, but also for the mirrors and for surfaces made of chrome or plastic (acrylic). You can also safely use the cleaner to clean any transparent or reflective areas inside the vehicle – including the dashboard.
KORREK Pro TFC Ultra Finish makes dusting easy
Over time, dust accumulates on the surfaces of the interior, such as the dashboard. Wiping the dashboard clean is effortless and easy. We recommend doing this at regular intervals to prevent stubborn dirt from accumulating.
In itself, a microfiber cloth is sufficient due to its statics and antibacterial properties, but the use of Ultra Finish makes car cleaning more pleasant. Ultra Finish is ideal for this task: the cleaner efficiently removes dust while providing light protection to the surface.
KORREK Originals Interior Cleaner* is a second effective alternative for cleaning the interior of cars. The cleaner is suitable for many surfaces and eliminates static electricity.
A little spray on the cloth is enough
Ultra Finish or Interior Cleaner should be sprayed sparingly on the microfibre cloth. Wipe the surface to be cleaned first with the damp side of the cloth, and then you can use the dry side of the cloth to remove the residue of the cleaner. Repeat these steps in smaller areas until all surfaces have been cleaned.
For leather surfaces, KORREK Originals Leather* is recommended. This nourishing leather cleaner is suitable, for example, for seats and steering wheels with leather covers.
A clean car makes a good impression
It is pleasant to drive in a clean car. The window panes are clear, the surfaces are free of dust, and the car smells fresh. Before you get into the car, you like to knock the dirt off your shoes to keep the car clean for as long as possible.
